Victor Khor, one of Asia’s most outstanding solo pianists and teachers, has garnered praise from renowned pianists worldwide. Jean-Yves Thibaudet lauds him as “a sophisticated pianist with inner musicianship,” while Stephen Hough describes him as “a fine, sensitive and exciting pianist with an imaginative flair.”
Victor’s musical journey began at the age of eight when he delved into both piano and violin studies. He later became the first Singaporean pianist to receive a scholarship at the prestigious Moscow Conservatoire, studying under legends Tatiana Nikolayeva and Yevgeny Malinin. Victor’s repertoire spans from Bach’s Goldberg Variations to Ravel’s Gaspard de la Nuit and Prokofiev’s War Sonatas, captivating audiences with his innovative and daring recitals. Beyond the classical realm, he also explores contemporary genres like jazz, new age, minimalism, and rock.

Besides performing, Victor Khor is also active in teaching. He has given masterclasses and workshops in Singapore and Malaysia. He has also served as adjudicators for music competitions.
